I never imagined I would be searching for a swimsuit after a double mastectomy and discovering that nothing seemed to exist for women like me.

After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I chose aesthetic flat closure. It was the right decision for me, and while I embraced my new body, I quickly realized that the world of swimwear hadn't caught up. Every swimsuit I found was designed with breasts in mind — cups, shaping, padding, and curves that no longer reflected me.

I wasn't looking to hide. I wasn't looking to recreate what I had lost.

I was simply looking for a swimsuit that fit.

When I couldn't find one, I decided to create it.

FLAT. was born from a desire to make women who live flat — whether after breast cancer, explant surgery, or by choice — feel seen, comfortable, and confident. I wanted simple, modern swimwear designed intentionally for flat bodies, without extra fabric, empty cups, or unnecessary shaping.

It's about honoring every woman's journey and recognizing that beauty, femininity, and confidence are not defined by curves. It's about creating pieces that allow women to move through life — and enjoy the beach, the pool, vacations, and everyday moments — without having to compromise or settle.

My hope is that every woman who wears FLAT. feels what I felt was missing: understood.
