Our Approach
At FLAT., every piece is intentionally designed for women who have chosen aesthetic flat closure, gone flat after mastectomy, or simply prefer a smooth, natural silhouette. Traditional swimwear is built around breast volume and shaping. Ours is not.
Healing looks different for everyone. Surgical scars, areas of tightness, and changes in sensation can make standard swimsuits uncomfortable. That's why our suits are thoughtfully constructed to prioritize comfort where it matters most.
FLAT. is designed to celebrate your body — not disguise it. Our suits are intentionally:
Padding-free
Wire-free
Cup-free
Contouring-free
Without bulky inserts or molded cups, our pieces lay smoothly against the chest for a clean, modern silhouette that feels natural and effortless.
Many women who go flat find themselves altering traditional swimwear, removing cups, or settling for styles that never quite fit. We believe you deserve better. Our approach provides:
Whether you're newly healed, years into survivorship, or simply seeking a swimsuit that reflects who you are today, FLAT. is committed to creating pieces that honor comfort, movement, and self-confidence.
No padding. No compromises. Just beautifully simple swimwear designed for you.
Fit Guide
Our pieces are sized by band measurement — the circumference around your ribcage, just below where your breasts were. No cup size needed, ever.
Ribcage / Band
Wrap a soft measuring tape snugly around your ribcage, directly below your chest. Breathe naturally. This is your band measurement.
Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your torso, typically 1–2 inches above your navel.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat, keeping the tape parallel to the floor.
| Size | Ribcage / Band | Waist | Hips |
|---|---|---|---|
| XS | 28–30 | 24–26 | 34–36 |
| S | 30–32 | 26–28 | 36–38 |
| M | 32–34 | 28–30 | 38–40 |
| L | 34–37 | 30–33 | 40–43 |
| XL | 37–40 | 33–36 | 43–46 |
| XXL | 40–44 | 36–40 | 46–50 |
Between sizes? We recommend sizing up for the most comfortable fit, especially if you have any areas of post-surgical sensitivity.
